BRIEF: To create a new website to be used to promote the Solar my School project to schools and the broader community. The website needed to attract new schools to the program by providing information and promoting schools already participating. It also needed to be a hub for schools – to access promotional and education resources, and show the amount of energy, greenhouse gas and money that the school saves with the solar power system. The website also needed to be completed within 3 weeks.
SOLUTION: We recommended a pre-built WordPress theme as a starting point and customised the design to compliment the stylish branding elements supplied. We extended it to include a section to showcase the participating schools and maps to show the spread of involved schools as the program expands. We later extended this feature to enable sorting by council area and school type.
OUTCOME: A very flexible site, that is easy to navigate and easy for our client to manage in-house, and all done within a 3 week period.
